Yesterday John worked on perfecting the use of his new word "too", which he says in a high sing-song voice to make it even more funny.
Anyway, first we were coming home from lunch with Daddy (an aside - I told him we were going to Mutts with Daddy. When we didn't make the turn to go to Mutts he got very upset until I told him we had to pick up Daddy first, then he was OK...smart little booger!). So, he had food all over his face. I told him he had a mess on his face (he is very familiar with the word mess, and usually wants to clean them up...I won't complain). He promptly pointed at a pimple on my face and said "Mama mess, too". It takes an almost 2-year-old to make you laugh at pimples.
Later in the day we were coming home from Mama and Daddy's house. I was going over the plan for when we got home with him. I told him who was getting out of the car first, etc., etc., and then he was going to take a bath and splash in the water. To which he responded "Baby Eve bath, too". I think that's the first instace we have of him throwing his little sister under the bus. In his defense, although he needed a bath much more, she needed one as well.
He has been such a good boy today. He even came inside without a fuss because Eve was sleeping inside and we heard her crying over the monitor. Maybe he was just ready to come inside, but we'll take it as good behaviour either way. Unfortunately I had her laying on the floor and he was playing with her and fell on her. It was completely unintentional, but I saw her first real tears today. Poor things, both of them.
