WOW, lots of catching up to do, but I'll start slow. I haven't been brave enough to go through the trip pictures yet, and I know others pictures are better, so I'll just hold off on the trip. Suffice it to say it was a FANTASTIC family vacation. OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry...surprisingly awesome for small children, and not so surprisingly awesome for the rest of us), Family BBQ day, out and about in downtown Portland, trolleys, air trams, lots and lots of whirling birds, camping, boating, fishing, berry and peach picking, trains, the zoo, and lots of time with family! Whew! We're still recovering I think.
Anyway, the trip will come later. For now, just a few catch ups. Eve's 3rd tooth on top (on the right) finally popped through last weekend and the one on the left is trying to make an appearance. It's taking them forever! She's turned into quite the little devil, and smiles right through it.
John always complains about going to school, but is LOVING it. I'm so excited that he loves his science class. Who wouldn't. They have a bird, and evidently now a lizard. He's learning about bones right now. I really love his school. On a different note, the kids were already dressed for school, so I was checking email while they played in the play room. After a while I was thinking it was much too quiet...no arguments over trains or anything. I headed upstairs to check on them. Eve was enjoying playing with the train, and John had, wait, let me count...6 bandaids of all shaps and sizes on his shirt. Harmless, so it was pretty funny.
Oh, and yesterday I had them both in the race car grocery cart doing some quick shopping. Fortunately there weren't many people in the store. I probably should've tried harder to quiet them down, but it was too cute and funny. They were both shaking their heads wildly, kicking both feet on the cart and squealing and laughing. They were super loud, but at least they were having fun instead of being loud pitching a fit. They really do enjoy each other's company. They also were cracking each other up yesterday afternoon making faces at each other. So much fun.
