Christmas Morning!!!!!

Once again I was shocked at how late the kids slept Christmas morning!  We were up and just waiting for them to wake up.  Buck rang the bell on their door several times and banged around a bit to get them to wake up around 7 or so.  I know one day I'll wish these days back!
I have to say Eve's reaction was the most fun.  She was screaming she was so excited.  Unfortunately, she was equally disappointed when she didn't get EVERYTHING she asked of Santa, or when Ellie got something she had wanted, or when it wasn't her turn to open a present.  We had a lot of teaching moment Christmas morning with her, but when she was excited, it was infectious.
Ellie woke up still a little groggy and confused, but quickly caught on.
I was just happy that John was feeling well this year and could enjoy himself.  He still likes to play with each toy as it comes, and even enjoys other people's excitement as they open gifts.  I love that he shares in others' joy and doesn't get all wrapped up in the quantity of toys.  I hope he's able to hold onto that as he grows up.
Eve and Ellie changed clothes at least 20 times Christmas day...from pajamas to costumes to new clothes and back.  It was fun.

Jake slept most of the time, but we got the obligatory picture of opening his first gift.  The girls were happy to help him with the rest.
One of my favorite toys was the snap circuit set John got.  We enjoyed putting circuits together together.
John also enjoyed target practice with his Nerf gun.
I didn't take a whole lot of pictures because we were too busy having fun.  It was a quiet day.  Mom came over while we were having breakfast and opening gifts.  In the afternoon it was pretty yucky outside.  While Buck fried turkeys for/with the neighbors, we enjoyed toys inside, played a little outside, then cuddled up in new sleeping bags to a new movie.  It's not often we get to just relax together as a family, so it was very nice.
