September

Maybe I can just catch up by month?  We'll randomly start with last September (2015).  In no particular order...
I don't handle change well.  We bought our house bigger than we needed and closed just 2 weeks before we got married.  We loved the neighborhood, and we wanted a house we could grow into.  Well, we grew into it.  Now don't get me wrong.  We don't "need" anything, but sometimes it really felt like we needed more space.  Buck wanted to move, but like I said, I don't like change.  We love our neighbors.  We love our neighborhood.  We're zoned for great schools.  We love having the pool and swim team.  Did I mention we love our neighbors?  We've tossed around the idea of moving vs. adding on for several years.  I gave Buck every reason in the world to add on rather than move, even if we never recoup the money we put into it.  We had decided in the spring to add on.  When Ellie had her bike accident, that sealed the deal for us.  The way our neighbors helped and loved us, when at least 10 kids and parents gathered as we returned from the ER to see how she was doing, and everything they did afterward...this is why I can't leave.  At this stage in our lives, we need community.  We need THIS community.  So in September we finally broke ground.  Jake was super thrilled to make the first dig!  Kidding.  He did get to sit on the digger, though, and later watch it at work!

 Will turned 11 months old.
And started trying to open doors
We pick up carpool from John's school (30 minutes away) Monday and Friday afternoons.  This ends up being Jake's only nap time.  He likes to read on the trip :)
Since we don't get to go to many football games, this is how we tailgate.  The kids love it!  Tigers or Packers, they don't care.  As long as we get smokies!
Will enjoyed his first apple cider doughnut at Sky Top...a LOT...and his second...and maybe even his third
I have no idea what's going on here, but it sure looks fun.  Eve is quite a trend setter!
More from Sky Top.  It was so fun and yummy.  We had some CRAZY tree climbers this year!  We always seem to conveniently miss the sign that says, "no climbing in the trees".
