What a Fun Day!

It's been in the 80s the past few days so we've been soaking it in, and sweating it out! Poor Eve and John always look sunburned because their cheeks turn red somewhere around 65 degrees, I think. Even more poor Eve because she has to wear pants or capris outside or she'll tear her knees up. Anyway, we went to the zoo Friday. I was going to take them to the playground in the neighborhood, but John wasn't satisfied with that idea, so I said we could go to the park, which he quickly turned into "the park with all the animals"...aka, the zoo. We had lots of fun despite the hundreds of school children there.
Last night marked a sad first as well. For the first time (of MANY, I'm sure), John told me he didn't like me. Surely he didn't mean it, right? Actually, I heard it when he heard it, and I know he was just repeating it, but still, I hate that he's going to hear things and repeat them. I'm sure he'll hear and repeat much worse...WAY before I'm ready. We had a little talk. I'm sure that solved the issue and it'll never happen again (right). At least this time it wasn't said in anger and with understanding. It really didn't hurt my feelings, just made me want to lock him in a bubble for 20 years.
Today was super fun! We went to Clemson to play with Sharpie. We went to the boathouse, which we hardly recognized, and let the kids play in the chilly water. They LOVED it! Both of them! John had a blast splashing and shivering and saying it wasn't cold. Eve crawled right it and wasn't bothered at all by the cold water or even the waves when boats went by. After we finished up there we bought a ball and went to play on Bowman. They both really enjoyed that, too. It was a great family day, then they both crashed hard in the jeep on the way home. I'll post pictures soon.
