Aunt Michelle

This past week we had a wonderful visit from Aunt Michelle! John was so excited to have her come (we got to pick her up at the airport with artwork and flowers from the garden), and we were all so disappointed to see her leave. I don't think I took a whole lot of pictures, but there was plenty of fun play time, a trip to feed the geese, strawberry picking, the zoo, and plenty more. It was great to have her here to give lots of energy to the kids during the day since I've been a little depleted of energy lately. One funny story...a little PG13. We were walking up to feed the geese, pushing John and Eve in the stroller. I was pointing out this friends house and that. I mentioned our friends John and Kelly Sech (pronounced Seck). With the kids in front of us, I wasn't paying close enough attention to what I was saying. I told her they have a halloween party every year and we joke and call it the Sech's party...not thinking twice about little ears. Moments later, after there was a little time to process, we hear this sweet little voice from the stroller ask "Mommy, what's a sech's party?" Oh dear! We quickly back-pedaled, tried to explain, and changed the subject. Oh the things those little ears pick up on!
No news about the new baby yet. Still anxiously awaiting the arrival. The due date isn't until May 16, but the doctor has offered to induce May 9 (Mother's Day) if beds are available and we don't welcome Baby Batman before then. We'll keep the blog posted if there's any news.
