The finish was around the Greenville Drive baseball stadium
Way to go!
Now to Halloween...
We went to a Halloween party while Michelle was in town. We were the Wonder Twins! After going through 2.5 rolls of purple duct tape, when we didn't win the costume contest, I felt robbed. We sure had a great time, though.
Michelle dressed as a deviled egg. She put the wig on and said "Hi" to Eve, and I'm pretty sure Eve didn't get anywhere near her for the rest of the night! On the actual day, we hosted our 6th annual Halloweenie. We stole the idea from my Uncle John and Aunt Mimi (who served over 750 dogs this year!). Mom was a huge help, and we couldn't have done it without her. We served 236 hotdogs, by far a record. We had a line almost the entire time until we ran out around 7:30 or 8. Unfortunately the camera suffered a Halloweenie mishap, so we only got a few pictures from the beginning of the evening, but hopefully a friend will email some soon from later in the night. In the spirit of the celebration, we pulled out our Ketchup and Mustard costumes again, and Ellie was the cutest weenie ever! John was Optimus Prime and Eve was Bumblebee (both transformers)...at least that's how she started. She spilled juice on her costume and decided to change into her princess dress, but keep the mask and rain boots.

John had a blast. He was just not too keen on getting his picture taken.
The kids enjoyed thier hotdogs, then spent the rest of the evening playing with all the other kids in the cul-de-sac and mooching off the neighbors' candy jars. Every time I looked at Eve she was stuffing in another piece of candy. John was such a helper and tried to offer people candy and help them with their drinks for a while.
I am Optimus Prime!
We trick-or-treated later in the evening. John was hard to slow down. Eve was walking the pace of molasses (as usual). We had rehearsed what to say, and when we finally got to the first house, she did great. John even added "Have a Happy Halloween" all on his own. After than, Eve immediately said "let's do another house" and picked up the pace considerably. It only takes one when candy is involved. To be continued...hopefully
