Last Friday while we were in Florida, John missed Doughnuts with Dad at his preschool. Dads or other male mentors/family members/etc. are invited to come a little early for doughnuts and escort their kids to their class. It's kind of their Fathers Day thing since that falls outside of the school year. It's a sweet fun thing, and I hated John would miss it. SO, I helped him make an invitation for another date. I told him the letters to write, but he did the rest.
It says Doughnuts with Dad and April 15 incase you can't read it. The picture on the left is of John (wearing red underwear) and Buck (John forgot to draw his underwear...so he's commando) with doughnuts. On the right is a map (sun, roads, bridge, river...oh, and there's also a few sea creatures, but I can't remember what they were). So anyway, this Friday Buck and Christopher took John to get doughnuts. He was really tired, but really excited. I snuck him some money before he left and told him since he invited them he should pay and say "my treat". He kind of forgot, but Buck hinted him on a bit and he was excited to pay. He told me later in the day that he had forgotten his line, though. Darn. That would've been so cute. At any rate, they had a very special time. He gave Buck his special picture and fact sheet about Dad. Very cute.
