Carnival Night!

With Eve on a date with Daddy, I asked John what he wanted to do. Originally he wanted to go roller skating, but the local elementary school was having their carnival that night. When I told him about that, he was sold. Mom offered to keep Ellie, so it was just the two of us, and we sure made the most of our time. He chose Moe's for supper (pretty much a guarantee), then we headed to his first carnival! Our first ride was the helicopters. John, who was born fearless, then entered a bit of a fearful stage, has apparently come out the other side and gotten back to fearless. He was disappointed there weren't any roller coasters. The rides were a bit tame for him. He constantly wanted to go as fast and as high as he could, but despite the limitations, he enjoyed every minute.

John's first cotton candy. A big hit!

I didn't think the bull riding would go well. He's always been terrible at just staying on my back horseback riding at home, and I TRY to keep him on. He did a really good job, though, and as you can see he loved it.

When we were all out of tickets, John accepted that with grace and we headed to the car. With a little more time we decided to get ice cream at the train station. It was about 9:30 when we got home, and we only beat Buck and Eve by about 5 minutes. It was a great night for all of us!

EEEHAW, John, great bull riding and super cotton candy. What a lucky boy to spend a whole evening with your mom. Looks like you had loads of fun.
