So last week we moved some furniture around and John discovered the tripod. It makes a super cool gun, but I wanted to show him what it was really for. One day while Eve and Ellie were still napping, I hooked the camera up, showed him a few buttons to use, and let him have some fun. With a tripod and a digital camera, a 4-year-old can really enjoy playing with a camera without too much risk or wasted money on prints. He had a blast. First I showed him how to use the timer. He told me where to sit and how to pose, and he pushed all the buttons.

Now lets make silly faces.

Now act like a tiger.
And then I had to go get Ellie, so John was on his own and shot these (among dozens of others). They really turned out kind of artsy looking.

This is cool because at first glance it looks like a big mirror, but it's not. Fooled you!

Then Eve woke up.

Serious

Not so serious

We're definitely going to have to do this more often!

John our new Ansel Adams. I am so excited. Good for him and good for you to introduce him so soon to respecting the camera and teaching him how to use it. One never knows what is going to spark an interest in something
great pictures John!
