For some reasons, Saturday night rides to and from church are either really loud and overwhelming, or really loud and hilarious (depending on my mood, I'm sure). This Saturday fell on the side of hilarious. On the way to church we noticed a strong, repulsive smell. Buck asked, "Who tooted?" Knowing it wasn't me (really, it wasn't), I just assumed from the strength of the smell it was him. He, likewise, denied fault. Asking again, we then moved our blame to Eve, who is the biggest sitting in near proximity. She promptly denied, "I didn't!" In the same voice, John denied, "I didn't!", and without hesitation, in perfect rhythm, and the same voice, Ellie continued, "I didn't!". She had no idea what was going on, but she got us all laughing pretty hard.
On the way home Eve kept saying, "Ellie, do it again!" then laughing hysterically. She was laughing so hard she gave herself the hiccups (not so uncommon because they're typically pretty slap happy on the way home). I finally asked what Ellie was doing that was so funny. Every time Eve said, "AGAIN!", Ellie would start shaking her head and making an "ahhhhhh" sound. After a while John joined in, "Ellie, do it again!" Every time she did it, and they were all having a great time. Then Buck rang in with a moment of truth, "Poor girl. It's not long before they're saying, 'hey, Ellie, try this!' and 'hey, Ellie, see what will happen if you ...'" She may be in for a rough (but fun) ride.
