So much to catch up on! We had a wonderful December, and now that the Christmas video has been distributed, I feel like I can post pictures. Uncle Greg and Aunt Michelle were in town for Christmas - a super special treat! More about all that later, but before I forget, two fun things...
Eve made her first purchase today! She was given some Christmas money from G.G. She's been wanting a pillow pet, so I suggested she use her Christmas money. She chose a purple and pink ladybug (the same one she picked for cousin Isabel's Christmas gift). What do you know, when we got home there was a thank-you note from Isabel with a picture of her and her matching pillow pet. How fun! Eve could not be more happy! She refused to play outside until I let her take her pillow pet outside to show everyone. It has not left her side since she got it.
Ellie has been very emotional lately. She's quite the drama queen. She started a while ago to hold her hands over her eyes, stop crying, and sit still. The first few times she did it I thought something was medically wrong and I was starting to get worried. Since then I've noticed when she does it she'll move her foot a bit, or sometimes even peep. So, it's a behavior thing, not a medical thing. She's changed it a bit now. Over the past few days she's given up on putting her hands to her eyes, and now she just scrunches her face, eyes tight shut, and cries. She does this quite a bit at dinner time because she's not big on trying things, not that we serve lots of new things. She starts fussing and crying "NO NO NO!" and pushing the food away. A few days ago I told her to say "No, Thank You." Since then, when she pitches a fit about anything, instead of, "NO NO NO!" she cries, "NO NO NO, thank you!" What nice manners.
