I learn so much about life and theology at home...and a little music too.
From John:
Recently he was pretending with Eve. He said, "OK, I'm the daddy and you're the mommy. I'll go to work and make money while you stay home and relax." Buck was right there and started to question him, "Is that what Mommy does, she just relaxes at home?" "Yep" Buck is always telling the kids about how I work so hard, so I know that's not where it came from. I can only think that the kids assume spending the day with them is a treat. While it is a treat and a HUGE blessing, it's not exactly relaxing.
John redeemed:
Just now I asked John, "What does Mommy do while Daddy's at work?" His answers, "Clean, spend time with us, and run errands." "Do I get to relax?" "No." "Do you think I enjoy it?" "No." I corrected him and let him know that the spending time with them part I enjoy a lot!
From Eve:
In the car yesterday she randomly spoke..."God says 'No poop in the streets.'" The Gospel according to Eve.
From Ellie:
After a few days of being offended hearing "Mommy, shh shh", I finally realized she was singing "The Wheels on the Bus". "The Mommies on the bus go shh shh shh."
