Ellie's always saying funny things. Usually it's the way she says it, but finally I have a few that I think the blog can capture the humor.
Last week we were in Wisconsin, on the back porch trying to let the others sleep in. Ellie tooted, grinned and giggled, and said, "I burpted a my bottom."
Ellie likes to say her prayers. She's got very eloquent prayers. A lot of times I hear bits and pieces of things John and Eve typically say, "baby in Mama's tummy", "God is great", "blessing", things like that. There's always a pronounced "Amen!" at the end, but usually there's a lot in the middle I'm not quite sure of. Today, though, after I lot I didn't quite understand, I'm sure I heard near the end, "Octonauts, to your stations!" It's a line repeated in one of their favorite TV shows. And here I was thinking she was so spiritual wanting to pray these eloquent prayers all the time.
