Charleston (Part2)

Saturday at the beach continued...

This is a lovely mix of oreo and sand. For some reason, Eve loves eating sand. She doesn't try it and spit it out like most kids. She just keeps eating it...and clearly keeps loving it.

Saturday after "nap" time (yeah right) we went to dinner and to the battery. Another favorite of the trip for John was climbing on the cannons and cannon balls.

Sunday we needed a break from the sun...so we walked around at the market, had ice cream (a HUGE hit), and played in the fun fountain at Waterfront Park. Not really a break from the sun, but fun no less.

Monkey see...monkey do (disclaimer - we took their shirts off so we could use them as towels)

John was excited to see the fancy bridge (Ravenel bridge over the Cooper River), the boat with the airplanes on it (Yorktown), and the big cranes. Tonight he was talking about the pirates. Evidently he saw one of those downtown (and consequently assumed that the guy we saw driving today with an eye patch was a pirate...this one could get us in trouble).
What a great weekend we had! We all had a wonderful time!
