Christmas with Grandma

This is the first year since John was a baby that we spent Christmas away from home. In anticipation, we had a quick, last-minute Christmas celebration with Grandma. I'll go ahead and go on record saying that I'm not a fan of the new camera and thus don't have many good pictures from December at all...including this. Bummer.
Anyway, we went to Fountain Inn where they have carriage rides to see the lights, an outdoor ice skating ring (which we watched, but didn't try), Santa, carolers, and Victorian era crafts. What fun! The kids loved the carriage ride and entertained all the others riding with us, singing and whinneying back and forth with the horse.

John got to make a wooden mallet. We've conveniently "lost" it, but it was lots of fun to use a saw and hammer!

Eve made a corn husk doll.

Ta da!
Afterward we went to Mom's and had pizza and presents. It really was alot of fun. It felt like a picturebook Christmas.
