The Happiest Place on Earth

Some say "The Happiest Place on Earth" is Disney, I say it's Death Valley.  We were able to watch the Tigers play the Citadel this year.  The game was in November, and was PERFECT!  The weather was nice, it wasn't too crowded, and I have a special place in my heart for the opposing team...still our tigers won.

For a good while Eve has been (gulp) a Gamecock fan (her friend Claire is a bad influence).  I hate to put that in writing.  Anyway, she really wanted a tiger tail.  I asked if I got her one would she be a Clemson fan forever.  She thought it was a good deal, and we all breathed a sigh of relief.  She is now safely back on the right path!

It was Military Appreciation week, and there was a very moving half-time show.  My favorite part was watching the Citadel Summerall Guard.  Daddy was a part of it when he was there.  It's a prestigious group, and I was proud to watch a group so steeped in history and tradition, knowing my Dad had performed the same routine in the same uniform.
With a few snacks, the kids actually managed to make it through the whole game, and even enjoyed it!
Going onto the field after the game was lots of fun.  Those players are HUGE and it's hard to get their attention, but we managed a picture with one.

And we found a cheerleader too!
Of course, we tailgated after the game.

Uncle Sharpie made an appearance, and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Yep.  I think it's the Happiest Place on Earth.
