We're back in business! Finally, some Easter pictures. We had a very low-key Easter, and it was nice. After church we thought we'd take some pictures. Unfortunately we couldn't get everybody excited about it at the same time. Here's the best we got.
After "nap" time (nobody napped...including Mom) Grandma came over and we had a little egg hunt in the yard.Ellie was minorly interested in finding eggs.
Eve mainly picked up eggs, ate what was inside (thumbs up for the candy), ate whatever fell on the ground, then left the egg for someone else to pick up. Not a bad tactic, actually.
John took it a little more seriously. And before you scream at me, look closely...he's holding a green basket (the pink one in the foreground isn't his).
OK, a lot more seriously. By the way, he's standing on the arm of the bench under the trellis he and Buck built for me last year. Maybe you can see the Dorothy Perkins Rose (G.G. and Eve's rose) climbing across the top already! We had cut it back to just 2 ft. high to move it last year!
After hunting eggs, we grilled out. For dessert we made resurrection rolls...next post.

Thank you they look just darling and they are growing up. John is becoming so grown up looking. Yup my DP rose that you sent is over 6' tall and maybe 3' wide trying to cover our fence with it. I adore it and it always makes me think of Dot(GG) when it is blooming and her dad for naming her as he did. Great history. Great photos
